Plante & Moran has gone south of the border, opening an office in Monterrey, Mexico.
The firm has worked with clients in Mexico for more than 15 years, and the establishment of a Monterrey office reflects the next step in the firm's commitment to meeting its clients' on-the-ground resource needs in foreign markets.
"The high volume of cross-border activity between the United States and Mexico makes the opening of this office a natural move for us," said managing partner Bill Hermann in a statement. The firm also operates an office in Shanghai, and plans to add more international locations to support its clients. In addition, Plante & Moran is part of Praxity, an alliance of more than 100 professional accounting and auditing firms worldwide, giving it entrée to about 70 countries.
